Auxiliary Donates $20,000 To Hospital

On Feb. 1, the Glen Cove Auxiliary held its annual meeting in the Pratt Auditorium at Glen Cove Hospital, attended by many members and several of the hospital’s administrators. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and the Auxiliary prayer. After a brief report from Auxiliary president Alice Armstrong and greetings from Susan Kwiatek, executive director of the hospital, a check for $20,000 was presented to the hospital, monies raised by the Auxiliary at their many fundraising events.

The executive board was reinstalled for a second year and sworn in by Kwiatek. Then members enjoyed a great luncheon which was catered by Diane Carson and the hospital kitchen. It was a fun afternoon for all attending.

The Auxiliary is always happy to welcome new members; if you are interested in joining a great and friendly group while at the same time helping others call the Auxiliary office at 516-674-7365.
