Hollywood is the theme of the Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club’s six week summer program beginning Monday, July 3, and ending Friday, Aug. 11, where a star is sure to be born.
This exciting and fun-filled program will feature a variety of activities and programs designed specifically around the Hollywood theme. Every year, the club’s summer program revolves around a specific theme with creative and imaginative activities designed around that theme to keep kids interested in learning while having fun with their friends. The program encompasses a well-rounded curriculum with a wide range education plan, sports and outdoor activities, hands-on arts and crafts and technology projects, dance, in-house special themed day events and field trips. This year, the club is adding a Family Fun Friday, where family members can participate in events and activities on Friday afternoons.
“Our Hollywood summer program is sure to create many stars, but more importantly, our kids will be remain energized and continue to learn while enjoying their summer and sharing special and memorable experiences with their friends,” said executive director Franca Trunzo.
Registration will be held at the club on Saturday, April 8, from 9 a.m. to noon. The summer program is available for youth and teens aged 6-15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ($55 per week, per child) with the option for extended care from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ($75 per week, per child).
