E-Waste Collection Day

More than 300 Glen Cove residents parted ways with their aging technology, old televisions, VCRs, miscellaneous monitors and dated digital devices during Glen Cove’s bi-annual E-Waste collection day.

“The beautiful weather definitely encouraged our residents to do their technology spring cleaning and our Department of Public Works Sanitation team did a great job in coordinating the event’s logistics with AHRC E-works and Winter Brothers,” said Mayor Reggie Spinello.

Thousands of items were collected during the day’s event; for residents who want to dispose of microwaves and small appliances, those items can be collected on Wednesday’s metal pick-up day. The next E-Waste Collection Day will be scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call DPW at 516-676-4402.
