Start preparing your appetite and clearing your schedule, because the best homemade Italian food will be the only thing on your mind next week as the St. Rocco’s Feast begins. The “Best Feast in the East” starts on Tuesday, July 28, at 6 p.m. with a variety of food available along with rides, music and carnival games, and lasts through Sunday, Aug. 2.
The famous feast attracts thousands each year, with the indoor restaurant, outdoor pastry garden, pastry pavilion, food trucks and wine garden. Live music will be performed each evening, and children’s activities include a petting zoo, free face painting on Saturday and a live reptile show. Liturgy and devotion takes place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and the feast procession will be after the 10:15 a.m. Mass on Saturday. Additionally, a fireworks display will happen on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 9 p.m.
