Glen Cove Downtown B.I.D. Donates $425 To Youth Board

Patricia Holman, executive director of the Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District (B.I.D.), joined Spiro Tsirkas, executive director of the Youth Bureau, and staff members Jacki Yonick and Sandra Potter for a special check presentation from the Glen Cove City Hall Holiday Marketplace.

The marketplace, which was held in December, featured holiday gifts and home accessories from local artisans, entrepreneurs and home-based businesses. All of the proceeds from the sale of vendor tables were donated to the Glen Cove Youth Board.

“On behalf of the Downtown B.I.D. I am pleased to present the Friends of the Glen Cove Youth Board with a check for $425 to support the organization’s efforts to provide special programs for our community’s youth,” said Holman.

“We appreciate the Downtown B.I.D. working with our city’s special events team on programs that provide a benefit for both the youth of our city and our local businesses,” said Mayor Tim Tenke. “We thank the Glen Cove community and all of the marketplace vendors for their participation in our annual holiday shopping event.”
