Great Start For North Shore Volleyball

The 2016 Women’s Varsity Volleyball season is well under way. Through intense heat, the Vikings have started their season off with a 3 and 0 record in conference A2. In the first match of the season, the ladies won in three straight games over neighbor Glen Cove. Next on tap was Calhoun High School. The Vikings and the Colts traded wins in the first four games of the match. In the fifth game, the Vikings turned up the heat some more and came away with the win. Finally, the Vikings met up with Plainedge High School in last Saturday’s home match. With two losses in the first two games of the match, the Vikings changed it up and fought back against a very strong Red Devil squad. Through the leadership of Captain Meaghan Kearney, three-year starter Milagros Buschfrers and rookie setter Katie Ryan, the Vikings find themselves off to a very good start. On Tuesday the 20t, the Vikings will face the other currently undefeated Bethpage Golden Eagles.
