The North Shore Kiwanis Club honored Carly Rovner, a North Shore High School senior, as the October recipient for Kiwanis Student of the Month. This dynamic young lady has more than 300 hours of community service in a wide variety of projects and programs. Some outstanding accomplishments include being an active four-year member of the Key Club, as well as a mentor in the North Shore Buddy Program; being a role model as a mentor for middle school age students.
Other programs she participated in were Youth Decide Peer Leaders and was a member of the AIDS Peer Educator Program. Rovner has also traveled abroad and shared many of her exciting experiences at the Kiwanis dinner honoring her as the student of the month.
