Morgan Park Summer Music Festival presents Plaza Productions’ All Shook Up, a musical tribute to Elvis Presley on Sunday, July 24. The show, which is sponsored by Humana Insurance, is free to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m. in Morgan Park.
In 1955, a mysterious motorcycling stranger comes to a square town in a square state, changing it and the lives of everyone he meets forever. Plaza Productions’ loopy tale of mismatched lovers in a Midwest town incorporates Presley classics that range from sweet romantic ballads like “Love Me Tender” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” to the rollicking “Devil in Disguise” and other hits like “Jailhouse Rock” and “Blue Suede Shoes.” The story is new but the music is all Presley. Plaza Productions is Long Island’s leading summer theater touring troupe.
Head down to Morgan Park and enjoy a wonderful evening of family entertainment under the stars. Bring a blanket or chairs and picnic if you wish. Children are welcome. Morgan Park is located on Germaine Street at the end of Landing Road in Glen Cove. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, Pearsall Avenue, Glen Cove.
