This was a great week for the North Shore Varsity Baseball team.
The team took the series by winning two of three games against Valley Stream South. On
Monday, Connor Hehn pitched seven scoreless innings and unfortunately, the Vikings didn’t score as well. In the eighth inning, Kenny Belanger came in and shut down VSS.
In the bottom of the eighth, Max Scott hit a walk-off single and Nick Luchesse was the winning run. The final score was 1-0 and Belanger was the winning pitcher.
The Vikings came back strong in game three on Thursday, scoring three runs in the first inning. Dan Livoti hit a home run in his first varsity at bat, which pulled the Vikings towards victory. Scott pitched an amazing game and held VSS to only one run. The Vikings won 7-1 and Scott was the winning pitcher.
On Saturday, the Vikings held a car wash, which was a fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association. The team raised more than $500 for a great cause
