UPDATE: Police: All Clear At Glen Head School
A bomb scare at North Shore High School in Glen Head today turned out to be a false alarm, according to police.
Police said the all clear has been given and students are returning to class after a suspicious device was realized to be a pressure cooker that was disposed of outside of the school.
According to authorities, the suspicious device prompted a call to the police 10:15 a.m., which sparked an evacuation of the school located off Glen Cove Avenue.
Police are responding to reports of a suspicious device at North Shore High School in Glen Head.
Officers are at the scene after receiving a phone call at around 10:15 a.m. that someone found a device at the school located off Glen Cove Avenue. According to authorities, local police are waiting for the bomb squad to respond before verifying any information. The school has been evacuated.
Investigators said it is unclear if the call was a hoax for if it is accurate.
