Scout Sunday Celebration

Scout Sunday is a celebration of start of Scouting in the United States and always falls on the Sunday prior to the actual Scouting Anniversary Day of Feb. 8, 1910.

ScoutSunday_030216APack and Troop 6 of Glen Cove celebrated mass at St. Patrick’s Church, followed by a service project making 80 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and buttering three dozen bagels to be donated to The First Presbyterian Church’s shelter for men.

The food was purchased from money raised by the pack’s annual popcorn sale and the bagels donated by the Bagel Café.
