Glen Cove detectives arrested seven men over the weekend for assorted drug charges. On Saturday, Oct. 24, at 10:19 p.m., Det. Glennon observed two men acting suspiciously at the Speedway Gas station at 86 Glen Cove Ave. in Glen Cove, according to police.
At that time, police reported that 24-year-old Leo Duchnowski of Glen Cove was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana. Donald Loveless, 23, of Bayside, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree for allegedly possessing methamphetamine.
On Sunday, Oct. 25, detectives Glennon and Linares followed up on an investigation that took them out of Glen Cove to the Glen Head train station. At approximately 8:05 p.m., while inside the train station parking lot, the detectives observed a suspected drug deal taking place. Detectives arrested five men at that location for various drug charges.
Glen Head resident Marvin Ashby, age 34, was charged him with possessing 21 glassine envelopes of heroin. Police said Ashby was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell. Locust Valley residents Daniel Hall, 38, and Ellijah Lominy, 25, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Hall was allegedly in possession of Clonazepam, and Lominy was charged with possession of cocaine.
Glen Cove residents Eric Cottell, 25, and Jason Denobrega, 27, were both charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree for allegedly possessing heroin.
