Six months ago, two dozen Glen Cove residents volunteered to plant the annual pink tulips for Glen Cove CARES (Cancer Awareness Resource Educational Source). These were planted mostly on Brewster Street.
Recently these tulips popped up, indicating the real first signs of spring. Also getting in the “spring of things” are City of Glen Cove employees Damion Stavredes and Dan Cox Jr. cleaning out one of the flower beds at the corner of School and Brewster Streets.
