Thankful For Spreading Joy

During the holiday season, I always marvel at how so many people who are busy with work, everyday life, holiday shopping and parties, still make time to give of themselves for the benefit of those less fortunate.

For example, in Glen Cove, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys 4 Tots collection, sponsored by Martino Auto Concepts and Exotics4Life, gathers thousands of toys for the needy. And, the Interfaith Nutrition Network’s soup kitchen and shelter, which operates from Thanksgiving until the end of March, serves hot meals several times a week and provides a warm bed for the city’s homeless.

No matter the size or cause, I want to express my appreciation for all that is done to make others’ holidays brighter. Best wishes to everyone for a warm and wonderful holiday season and for a happy and healthy 2016.
