Victoria Crosby will present her bi-annual Elvis Tribute Show on WHPC 90.3 FM, on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m., in place of her weekly radio show Oasis. The one-hour special commemorates the anniversary of his death on Aug. 16, 1977, with poetry and music.
It will include Elvis Presley songs from the 1950s to the 1970s with a selection of poems from Crosby’s collection, The Book of Elvis; His Life in Rhyme, which tells his life story from birth in Tupelo, MS, to his death at Graceland, in Memphis, TN.
The Elvis Tribute, and Oasis, which features, smooth jazz, light classical and New Age music, as well as Crosby’s inspirational poetry, can also be heard anytime on www.ncc.edu/whpc.
