Cleaner Teeth For Kids

The Sea Cliff Elementary School K-Kids played host to the North Shore INN at their recent meeting. The agenda was to partner with the North Shore INN for their second annual Toothpaste and Toothbrush Drive.

K-Kids faculty advisor Mark Mihopulos greeted North Shore INN volunteer committee co-chairs Harriet Lewis and Beth Fedirko and K-Kid members welcomed them with a hearty round of applause. The K-Kids Toothpaste and Toothbrush Drive project, with the theme “give back to our community” involves the entire Sea Cliff Elementary School to participate in helping others who are in need.  The goal was to have as many as possible new individually packaged toothbrush and/or a new 4-ounce or smaller tube of toothpaste to be sent to the North Shore INN for distribution to those less fortunate in our community.

ToothpasteHarriet Lewis and Beth Fedirko kicked off the meeting by explaining the mission of the North Shore INN, then followed it up with a most effective question and answer period. Looking on were Olga Scileppi, North Shore Kiwanis K-Kids liaison and past president Herb Schierhorst.

The dialog exchanged during this meeting showed the commitment and dedication the K-Kids have in making this world a better place in which to live by helping others in our community. Their enthusiasm and willingness to offer their services is astounding and takes one’s breath away. K-Kids motto is “We Build” with an objective to provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community. The North Shore Kiwanis Club is proud to be their sponsor and congratulations them for their outstanding accomplishments.
