From North Shore To Pro Lacrosse


lacrosse_100516aAmanda Johansen, a 2012 graduate of North Shore High School and a midfielder for the University of Southern California, was named 2016 IWLCA All-American. She was also MPSF Rookie of the Year, four-time first team all-conference midfielder and four time IWLCA West/Midwest selection. As a senior captain, she led the women of Troy to an undefeated regular season and a final ranking of fourth in the country. Johansen graduated from USC in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in sports media studies. She currently is a graduate assistant coach for Mount St. Mary’s in Emmitsburg, MD, and just finished her first season playing professional for the Baltimore Ride of the United Women’s Lacrosse League.
