For the 10th year in a row, Chelsea Mansion has opened up its doors for its holiday tours. This true Gold Coast-era mansion—built in 1924 and containing 40 rooms—is located at the Muttontown Preserve.
Chelsea Mansion was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The architecture has a blend of English, French and Chinese influences. Tours will be given with advance reservation on Dec. 18, 19 and 20, at noon and 2:30 p.m. Tours go through only the main level rooms and end in the ballroom, where cookies and fresh cider will be served.
Guests will be treated to holiday songs by a pianist while they enjoy their snacks. For reservations, call 516-572-0200 or 516-571-8551.
